Greetings

Well, it's been a few years since I've had a blog, but I thought I'd give this another go.  I tried to come up with a creative title for this blog... something that reflected who I am (eclectic, for sure) and what I try/hope to be (elegant).  I've been told that I am both of these things, on separate occasions, and I suppose these words are descriptions that I've clung to. :)

For those of you who know me, I invite you to join me on this journey of blogging, and for those of you who do not know me- I'll provide a brief intro.  I am a Research and Teaching assistant, pursuing a Master of Arts in Communication at a mid-size university in the middle of the United States.  My academic interests include religious and organizational communication, sociolinguistics, semiotics, and rhetoric.  Outside of graduate school, I enjoy photography, travel, reading, and fashion.  I love Jesus, my family (Mom, Dad, and my 3 brothers- and all of my extended family), and my friends.  I speak English, and Spanish, and I used to know a good amount of French- but I regret to say that a lot of it has escaped me.  Other random things about me include... I like to swim, I love going to Starbucks with friends, I want to be a professor, and I secretly enjoy rainy days almost as much as sunny days.
