Almost As Seen On TV: Lundin Links Sweater

Hello Readers.

How many of you are fans of Mad Men? I do! I do! Recently, however, I realized that I haven't seen Season 2 before- a realization that prompted me to re-watch Seasons 1, 2, and most of 3 on Netflix. As I was making up for this error, in an episode and season I cannot recall, I noticed that Peggy Olson was wearing a sweater very similar to a sweater from Anthropologie.

As Seen On TV. . . Expanding Horizons Tee

I don't know about you, but I love ABC Family Dramas. The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Make It or Break It- I love these shows! Why? I'm not really sure- but I continue to watch the melodrama even though I am as old as the protagonists' teachers (in some cases).

Anyways. . . I am currently hooked on one of ABC Family's newest shows, Switched At Birth. The show follows the (fictitious) story of two high school girls who were switched at birth. While watching the show, I noticed that its characters are styled wonderfully- I love their clothes! In a recent episode, I noticed that one of the characters, Daphne, and I have the same shirt! For those of you who frequent Anthro, you may also recognize this tank:

Here are a few pictures of me wearing the same shirt (the photos were taken before I watched the episode featuring the tank). My point and shoot camera seems to be producing poor quality shots, so I apologize for the lack of detail (ps- does anyone know of a great point and shoot camera?):

Update! As Seen on TV. . .

You may recognize one of the dresses in the picture above. . . My friend and fellow grad student, Emily, wore a smashing dress to a recent girls' night out (featured in my last post). Earlier this week, while watching abc family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager, I spotted Emily's dress on the show's protagonist- Amy Juergens! The following day, I informed Emily and she told me that she purchased the dress at Forever21. So, for those of you who admired Emily's dress, or saw the dress on television- now you know where to find it!

I love, love, love spotting clothing in public or television that I've seen in stores or online. Usually, I can only name clothing from AE, Abercrombie, Banana Republic, Martin & Osa, J.Crew and occasionally Marc Jacobs. This is the first time I've recognized a friend's clothing item on television (how exciting!), but I will continue to keep my eyes open for more "as seen on TV" matches.
